Twitter-Rigging

April 9, 2014

Twitter is outright blocked at my job on the hardware level. I’m not sure why, because every other kind of social media is allowed… Including Facebook, Instagram, and MySpace. During my lunch breaks (when the admins unlock non-work internet at our computers) I would really like to post a few quick thoughts, but it seems our IT administrators have a personal issue with Twitter. <shrug>

The main reason that I like Twitter is it forces you to communicate succinctly – something I still need to learn how to do better. My greatest failing is oftentimes my verbosity.

I also like that Twitter acts as a way of chronologically ordering things that I’m doing – it’s easy to look through my tweets and see what I was up to last year or last month.

Nevertheless I’m at the point where I’d like to post quick, simple thoughts, and I have nowhere else to do it but here.
